"Dolor, placer y muerte no son más que el proceso de la existencia. La lucha revolucionaria en este proceso es una puerta abierta a la inteligencia"

-Frida Kahlo

Pain, pleasure and death are nothing more than the process of existence. The revolutionary struggle in this process is an open door to intelligence.

Who We Are

Welcome to the Wisconsin Women of Color Network (WWOCN), where you're not just a member; you're family. Rooted in the heart of Wisconsin, we've been a beacon of empowerment and unity for women of color for over 38 years.

We emerged from the vision of the regional Minority Women's Employment Conference back in 1980, growing and evolving to become what we are today: a vibrant, multifaceted network committed to enriching the lives of women of color, their families, and their communities.

What We Do

WWOCN serves as your bridge to opportunity, voice, and community. With a reach spanning across the state, we bring women of color together through a variety of regular and special programs designed to build connections, foster leadership, and create change.

Our Mission

The Wisconsin Women of Color Network, through statewide collaboration, assists women of color in accessing educational resources, healthcare, social services and political participation to promote leadership, cross-cultural awareness, and the spiritual and economic well being enriching the lives of women of color, their families and their communities.

Our Pillars

We operate on four core pillars:

Empowerment & Leadership

Here, it's about equipping you with the skills and confidence to rise up and lead, whether in your professional life or community.

Community Outreach & Inclusivity

We believe in the power of unity, which is why we're deeply invested in outreach initiatives that bring us closer together.

Education & Resources

Knowledge is our currency, and we're making it rain opportunities for growth.

Advocacy & Social Impact

We're not just talk; we're action. From policy advocacy to social justice initiatives, we're committed to making a tangible difference.
